My name is Alena Doležalová, in short - pseudonym Ana Doel, for me, painting is a way to slow down, calm down and express reality. I have been loyal to acrylic for many years - I like its rich layers and the way light is caught in the structure of the paint.

Most of my paintings are made to order - directly for a specific home and a specific person. I also paint according to my own choice. I like to paint what has a soul, emotions - city streets at dusk, the hustle and bustle of a big city, blooming flowers, portraits of loved ones. I really enjoy detailed and realistic paintings, but also structural abstractions that play with light and surface.
